Kezia Bacon became a Certified Lifecycle Celebrant because she loves helping people honor and celebrate the milestones in their lives. She has extensive training in writing and performing creative, meaningful, personalized ceremonies, with a specialty in weddings. Kezia was certified by the Celebrant Foundation & Institute in 2010, and earned her licensure as a Massachusetts wedding officiant and non-denominational minister.
Kezia says, “My goal is to create a ceremony that is relevant to you, a ceremony that truly reflects who you are. It’s all about what you want, what suits you, what represents your beliefs and values — whether it’s formal or informal; traditional, alternative or multicultural; religious, secular, interfaith, or spiritual-but-not-religious. We work together to make it happen. And there are no surprises. You get to sign off on every single word.”
Telling a couple’s love story – it’s Kezia’s favorite thing about performing wedding ceremonies. It brings everyone in the room together, and makes them feel closer to the couple. And the story is so important – it’s what the couple has already been telling their friends and families, the one that will be passed down through the generations.
As a professional writer, Kezia has extensive experience putting words together and making them flow. As a Kripalu yoga teacher, she brings a much-welcomed sense of calm to the sometimes unsettling process of planning a wedding. She is also available for Vow Renewals, Baby Blessings and Child Welcoming Ceremonies.
